The 40th Annual Sports Day of Pushpalata Schools, held on 24 January 2026 with the theme
\u2018Good Health and Well Being\u2019, was a vibrant celebration of energy, discipline and sporting
excellence. The Chief Guest, Mr. V. Vinodh Santharam, Deputy Commissioner, Tirunelveli City \u2013
East, declared the meet open and highlighted the role of sportsmanship in building resilience and
holistic growth. The impressive march past, oath taking and Olympic torch relay reflected unity,
teamwork and the true spirit of competition. Thrilling track events and relays showcased speed,
stamina and determination, leading to the crowning of individual champions and house winners.
Colourful drills, yoga, ribbon, Oyil, Lazium, butterfly and staves performances displayed rhythm,
coordination and grace. Martial arts displays of Karate and Silambam demonstrated discipline
and inner strength. The SDG-3 themed float and cultural performances reinforced the message
of good health and social responsibility. The grand event concluded on a high note with
enthusiastic participation, eloquent compering, melodious choir performances, the lowering of the
school flag, vote of thanks and the National Anthem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 40th Annual Sports Meet
The 40th Annual Sports Meet of Pushpalata Schools was held on 24 January 2026 on the theme
\u2018Good Health and Well Being\u2019. The Chief Guest, Mr. V. Vinodh Santharam, the Deputy
Commissioner, Tirunelveli City – East, presided over the event, hoisted the school flag, declared
the Sports Meet \u2018open\u2019. In his address, he emphasised that sportsmanship builds a positive
environment and a resilient mindset to face challenges. He urged parents to nurture physical
development for children\u2019s holistic growth.
The majestic royal march, executed with precision, poise and discipline, embodied the spirit of
unity as the 16 contingents- NCC, Scouts and Guides and the athletes representing the four
houses of PMS and PVM held the audience spellbound, in the 40th Annual Sports Meet. The
athletes vowed to perform with honesty, mutual respect and unwavering dedication to the
genuine spirit of competition.
Bearing the torch of camaraderie and teamwork, the able athletes of Pushpalata Schools kindled
the essence of sportsmanship as they relayed the Olympic flame during the 40th Annual Sports
Meet. The symbolic exchange echoed the Olympic motto\u2014Faster, Higher, Stronger\u2014Together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Strides Towards Success!\u2019
Showcasing remarkable speed, agility and stamina, the determined athletes raced with purpose
in the relay events of Pushpalata Schools\u2019 40th Annual Sports Day, earning valuable points for
their respective houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Champions Crowned, Excellence Celebrated!
The relentless quest for excellence was rewarded as our vibrant athletes received the Individual
Championship titles and Outstanding Performer awards for 2025\u201326. The Overall Championship-
Winners Shield of PMS was pulled off by Butea – the Red house and the Runner up Shield was
secured by Ixora – the blue House. The Overall Championship- Winners Trophy of PVM was
bagged by Pioneers – the Green house and the Runner up trophy was won by Challengers – the
Yellow house. They were felicitated by the chief guest in the 40th Annual Sports Day of
Pushpalata Schools
The yoga performance by the students of Classes IV and V was a captivating showcase of
flexibility, balance and focus, as they held each posture with grace, precision and confidence
during the 40th Annual Sports Day of Pushpalata Schools.

Swaying in harmony with the music, the young learners of Classes I to III captivated the
audience with their neatly coordinated ribbon drill. Adding to the spectacle, the vibrant Oyil and
Lazium drills presented by the students of Classes VI and VII highlighted their rhythm and
coordination during the 40th Annual Sports Day of Pushpalata Schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The graceful dance performed by the students of Class XI deeply impressed the spectators,
beautifully conveying the message of good health, harmony and a vision for a better world, in the
40th Annual Sports Day of Pushpalata Schools.
Hats off to the dynamic compering team for their articulate hosting and the delightful choristers
for their melodious performances, which infused energy and enthusiasm throughout the 40th
Annual Sports Day celebrations at Pushpalata Schools.
