To create awareness on the dangers and pollution levels of rivers and to induce planet friendliness among the students a river cleaning program was organized for the students of Class 11 on 12th August 2023, in lieu of International Youth Day. The Students were taken to the banks of Tamirabarani River at Kokkarakulam, Tirunelveli. The students were actively involved in removing the debris from the river bank. The Tasildhar of Palayamkottai Mr. Selvam, who also heads the Disaster Management Unit of Tirunelveli and other dignitaries witnessed this cleaning program. He, in is address appreciated the students and the management for this planet friendly initiative. He also encouraged the students in participating in many other environmental initiatives and to save Mother Earth from depletion.
