The 80th Independence Day – 15.08.2026
The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with pride and patriotic fervour at Pushpalata Matric
Hr. Sec. School. Students from KG to Class 8 participated in patriotic songs, poems, dance,
speeches, a tableau, national-symbol activities, tricolour food and the “I Love My India” Tree. The
National Flag was hoisted by Chief Guest Rajayogi BK. Geddan Sivabalan, Service Coordinator
of Brahma Kumaris, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi Districts, who inspired students to uphold freedom,
unity, patriotism and responsible citizenship.
