CVP Camp

“Efficiency is the capacity to bring proficiency into expression.”

—Swami Chinmayananda

To imbue this in the young minds, a two-day CVP camp was organised for Class IX from 7.12.2021 to 8.12.2021 at Saibaba Temple. The Resource people were Bramacharya Vignesh Chaitanya ji and Jitesh Chaitanya Ji. The theme of this camp was T20 Transformers.

The session started with a short intro about Corona Virus and the safety measures to be taken by everyone was given. The camp made students realise “Everyone should have a goal and vision for their future, which in turn helps them get into action”.

The activities like sharing one’s expression, collecting inspiring pictures or events from newspapers, planning their activities for 24 hours – the changes to be done in their schedule, graphing the activities to be carried out between birth and death and filling up the SWOT (Strength, Weakness, opportunities and Threats) analysis worksheet motivated the students to set their future goal and to find way to get into action. Through team games with ball and balloon the students learnt the value of team spirit and cooperation. The video on “Kindness Keep the World afloat” was very inspiring. The stories about a blind woman from a small village and Marshmallow conveyed the messages that will power, patience and courage help everyone lead a successful life and the real beauty lies in one’s character not in appearance. In the presentation on “Potential to performance” he listed the keys to convert our potential to performance and the principles to be followed to attain our goal. This helped the students to find their own talents and the techniques to be followed to attain their vision.

The speech of Br. Jitesh Ji on “Life” was very inspiring and informative. He compared life with three different things – Mobiles, Candy Crash and Ball.

He conveyed the messages that

  • Life is interconnected with each other like mobile,
  • People who have similar characteristics like us are always found around us.
  • If we throw a ball on the wall, it will return to us. In the same way, what we do to others only returns to us.

The students are asked to share one good thing they do every day in their life. That was the highlight of the program.

This program made students realise, “Great people don’t do different things; they do things differently”, “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an idiomatic will.”

On the whole, the two-day camp was very exhilarating and useful for students.
