International Day of People with Disabilities and Christmas Celebration

A special Assembly was observed to promote an understanding of disability issues
and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
They were made to think about the obstacles faced by the disabled people in their
day today life. The life of the disabled people who have reached the summit of
success was depicted by a vibrant role play by our children. Poems were read which
spoke the minds of the disabled children. Some possible ways to make life
comfortable for the disabled were instructed through a power point presentation. An
inspiring video was played on the theme “Turning disabilities into Ability”.
The second part of the session was Christmas celebration. It started with the real
meanings of the Symbols of Christmas. Our children sang songs to welcome baby
Jesus into our hearts. The program came to an end with a spectacular event- ‘The
Santa’s wishes’.
The program was indeed a resounding success through which our children enjoyed
a lot and imbued various information.
