It was a great opportunity to have Mr. Berty Ashley, as our esteemed speaker on our YouTube channel “Pushpalata LearnEd – “Knowledge Series” on 21st August 2020 at 5pm (IST). He spoke on the topic “The Spirit of Inquiry”.
Ever since he could speak, he was known for insatiable curiosity and inexpendable energy. An alumnus of Vikaasa school and The American College, he followed his dreams of becoming a scientist.
Berty Ashley is now a Molecular Geneticist at the Dystrophy Annihilation Research Trust. He works with the fundamental molecules of life, DNA and is currently working on a therapy for those suffering from Genetic disorders. He is the author of the popular ‘Easy Like Sunday Morning’ quiz in the Hindu Sunday Magazine which is renowned for the work-out-ability factor. He is also the author of “Quizzes for Quirky Minds’ which became the best-seller in its category on Amazon within a week.
A huge number of students were inspired by his speech on how the spirt of Inquiry and curiosity could greatly impact every student. He highlighted on the point that every student must be curious to know about the realms of live and on how they could have promising career options because of the Spirit of Inquiry.
Berty Ashley is not someone new to Pushpalata Schools since he has also done a couple of live sessions in our Schools and inspired many students.
