World Oceans Day 2021

“By protecting our oceans, we are preserving them for the next generation to enjoy.”

To imbue this notion in the minds of the younger generation, a special assembly was observed online for classes 6-9 to celebrate World Oceans Day on 12 th June 2021. An introductory talk was delivered highlighting the importance of the wonders of the ocean. A wonderful song was sung on the theme “Ozone: All there is between you and UV”. A role play was performed on the topic “Ocean Speaks” to convey the utmost need to take care of and preserve them. The origami activities done by our students were displayed through a Power Point Presentation. A voice over presentation was given insisting the steps to be taken to stop Marine pollution. A verse highlighting the then and now of the Ocean and the Plastic Pollution in Sea was recited. A stimulating quiz was conducted. An oath was taken to save oceans for a better future. The program ended with the vote of thanks.

In conclusion, this assembly was an eye opener for our children to realise that they must join hands to save the Ocean to see the future.
